Our Programs
SEED Chattanooga creates practical learning experiences that connect people to soil, food, creativity, and community. Through gardens, education, the arts, and shared meals, we help children, families, and neighbors build useful skills and grow together.
Community Learning Gardens
At Hardy Elementary and Jessie Igou Community Center, SEED Chattanooga creates shared growing spaces where students, families, volunteers, and neighbors learn by doing. Participants plant, maintain, and harvest seasonal food while building practical knowledge about soil health, water conservation, and environmental stewardship.

Arts and Environmental Education
SEED Chattanooga uses creativity to help students explore the connections between food, nature, and community. Through Harvest of Expression and other creative learning experiences, students participate in classroom art, museum learning, storytelling, and public art that bring environmental lessons to life.

Garden to Table Experiences
SEED Chattanooga helps participants connect what grows in the garden to what appears on the table. Through harvesting, cooking demonstrations, shared meals, and culinary partnerships, children and families learn how fresh food can be prepared, enjoyed, and shared in community.
